No debate about it: Northwest debaters are outranking the competition again
P O W E L L, W y o. ─ The national rankings aren't completely finalized yet, but it looks like the Northwest College forensics squad will once again be ranked second in the nation after the fall 2007 semester of parliamentary debate.

Bowling with turkeys
Not exactly dancing with stars, but Northwest College student Agate Kleinhesselink of Troy, Mont., did find herself bowling with turkeys just before Thanksgiving. The outdoor education major gave her all to get a "fowl" strike during a turkey bowling contest sponsored by the NWC Student Success Outreach Program.

Eastern Star Scholarship Recipients
Harlan Goodchild of Powell (left) and Diane Conley of Lovell (right) were on the Northwest College campus recently to present scholarships from the Powell Chapter of Eastern Star. The happy recipients are John Beyer, a welding major, and Heather Nielsen who is studying to become an athletic trainer. Both students are from Powell. Goodchild and Conley are past patron and past matron, respectively, in Eastern Star. In addition to providing scholarships to both traditional and nontraditional-age students, Eastern Star members also provide donations and assistance to local charities, cancer research and Shriners Hospitals.

Trapper Show Band premieres Friday, Nov. 16, during Northwest College basketball tournament
