Important Information
Avoid Stress
Many students experience unnecessary stress and anxiety by writing checks or making financial commitments based on estimated or anticipated disbursement date. Do not spend money you have not yet received! Remember that financial aid is intended to assist you with your educational expenses not support you and your family.
Loan Proceeds
Loan proceeds must be signed for in person at the cashier's office (ORB 106). Your loan funds will be returned to your lender if not picked up within 45 days of the date it is received by NWC. If your loan is electronically credited to your student account creating a credit balance, a check will be mailed to you within 14 days of the date the credit appears on your account.
Payment Deadlines
Students are responsible for meeting all payment deadlines. If Northwest College priority deadlines have not been met, and a student has not received an Award Letter from the FAO, other payment arrangements must be made by the student.
These can be made with the payment plan service, Tuition Management Systems by calling 1-800-356-8329 or online at afford.com/northwestcollege.
False Information
Anyone who intentionally gives false or misleading information on aid applications may be subject to a fine of $10,000, receive a prison sentence, or both.
